Golf Royal St Augustine Golf and Country Club

Just outside the city center of St Augustine you find this nice course. The course is narrow so you have to be careful. In my first round I lost some balls since I did not know the ins and outs of water and lush foliage outside the fairways. The next round it was much better since I used less clubs and planned according to the course, still a tough one for a 23-hcp player. There is one hole I do not like and that is the 15th which goes along the highway. Having the cars that close makes me a little nervous. Overall it is a very pleasant course in a nice settling even if there are houses all around the course. Their clubhouse is very nice, and once a month (last Sunday) they have jazz music between 2-5 in the afternoon. The driving range could be improved by letting you know the distance to the different flags out there. The putting and chipping practice area is located away from the driving range towards hole 1.

Thanks for comment, yes it feels like golf is on the way back in many countries. Spending money on equipment well some people do and yes technology goes forward but if you have a hcp above 18 I do not think it makes much difference if you play with a ball for $1 or $5. I believe in taking lessons by a good pro every now and then.
